Our Commitment to Environmental Protection

In accordance with Government Decision no. 878/2005 on public access to environmental information, Ideal Foodpack SRL ensures transparency regarding the environmental impact of its activities carried out at the production facility for food packaging made from cardboard, polypropylene (PP), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), offering the public access to essential data.

Our operations take place at our headquarters in Reghin, 3 Salcâmilor Street, Mureș County, where we manufacture packaging for the food industry using modern and efficient technologies. Production is carried out continuously, seven days a week, involving the use of natural resources such as water and electricity, for which specific efficiency measures are implemented. The raw materials used in our processes include cardboard from certified renewable
sources, virgin plastic materials (PP and HDPE), as well as auxiliary materials. We are committed to optimizing their use and minimizing waste. Cardboard packaging is printed using offset technology, with controlled and monitored processes to prevent the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Our production activity generates non-hazardous waste—such as cardboard and plastic scraps—which is collected and recycled. Small quantities of hazardous waste, managed in accordance with legal requirements. Wastewater is discharged into the public network under valid authorizations, and its quality is monitored periodically. Noise levels in production areas are kept under control through soundproofing measures and regular equipment maintenance.

Electricity consumption generates indirect greenhouse gas emissions, which are considered in our environmental impact assessments. To reduce these emissions, we plan to install photovoltaic panels, contributing to a lower carbon footprint and greater sustainability in our industrial activity.

Ideal Foodpack SRL applies an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and is fully committed to pollution prevention, legal compliance, and continuous environmental performance improvement. Monitoring activities cover resource consumption, waste management, and emission levels to ensure that significant environmental aspects remain under control.
